Amuse (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates a social platform that helps food lovers match by taste, share discoveries, and book dining experiences (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Amuse, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Account & profile data: name, email, age, gender, ethnicity, bio, photos, and preferences you provide during onboarding.
• Location data: approximate city or neighborhood (and precise GPS coordinates only when you opt in). Precise coordinates are never shown to other users; only your general area is visible.
• Activity data: likes, super-likes, passes, matches, messages, forum posts, comments, restaurant saves, and date plans you create.
• Device & usage data: device type, operating system, app version, and log data such as crash reports.
• Verification data: if you submit a verification selfie, the image is reviewed by our moderation team and stored only for as long as needed to confirm your identity.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account and display your profile to others.
• To suggest matches based on taste, location, and preferences.
• To show nearby restaurants and enable reservations and date planning.
• To send notifications about matches, messages, and forum replies (you can adjust these in your settings).
• To moderate content, investigate reports, and enforce our Terms of Service.
• To improve and develop the Service, including compatibility scoring.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only: (a) with other users as necessary to operate matching and messaging (e.g. your profile and messages with your matches); (b) with service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, maps, push notifications, email); (c) to comply with legal obligations or protect rights and safety; and (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

4. Your Choices

• Profile & visibility: you can edit your profile, pause discovery, or delete your account at any time from the app.
• Location: you can switch between GPS, manual entry, or disable location sharing in Location Settings.
• Notifications: you can toggle match, message, forum, and travel notifications in your settings.
• Travel mode: when enabled, your profile is shown to users in your travel city. You can turn this off at any time.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate safety and fraud-prevention purposes. 6. Safety & Moderation

We do not conduct criminal background checks. We rely on user reports and automated signals to moderate conduct. Always meet matches in public, and report any concerning behavior through the in-app reporting tools.

7. Children’s Privacy

Amuse is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us so we can remove the account.

8. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access Amuse from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from your jurisdiction.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
