Terms of Service

Welcome to Amuse. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Amuse platform, including the mobile app and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using Amuse, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use Amuse. By registering, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your profile truthful. You may not share your account or impersonate another person.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Amuse for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or harassing purpose.
• Post content that is illegal, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit without consent, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
• Harvest, scrape, or collect data about other users or the Service.
• Send spam, chain messages, or unsolicited commercial content.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Use the Service for prostitution, trafficking, or any exploitative purpose.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post (photos, messages, posts, reviews). By posting, you grant Amuse a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and use that content solely to operate and improve the Service. You represent that you have the rights to post your content and that it does not violate these Terms or any law.

5. Matching & Recommendations

Amuse suggests matches and restaurants based on preferences, taste, and location. These suggestions are algorithmic and subjective. We do not guarantee any match, date, or dining experience, and we are not responsible for the conduct of other users or the quality of third-party restaurants and reservation services.

6. Safety

Amuse does not conduct criminal background checks. You are solely responsible for your safety when interacting with other users. Always meet in public places, share your plans with someone you trust, and report concerning behavior. Amuse is not liable for the actions of other users or any in-person interaction.

7. Reservations & Third-Party Services

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party reservation platforms, maps, and restaurant directories. Those services have their own terms and policies. Amuse is not responsible for their availability, pricing, accuracy, or conduct.

8. Reporting & Moderation

You can report posts or users through the app. We may investigate and take action, including warnings, suspensions, permanent bans, and removal of content, at our discretion. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk to the community.

9. Intellectual Property

Amuse, the Amuse logo, and all related marks and designs are our property or used with permission. You may not use them without our written consent. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or other intellectual property.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amuse and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Harris County, Texas for any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.
